Rose Tour, Sunday May 4, 2008
The day after the rose show both Ivy Bodin and Bob and Barbara Woellfer
graciously opened the gardens for viewing. Both lovely gardens, each
different in character. Ivy's garden contains mostly Old Garden Roses
and polyanthas. It was an amazing site to see these beauties. Ivy's
lot is small but is packed with punch with roses tucked into every
corner.
Bob Woellfer's garden is modern roses that all look perfect and
wonderfully healthy. Amid the roses are sculptures and art pieces
which makes for a lovely combination. Thanks Bob, for all the baked
goodies. It was a warm sunny day and we not only enjoyed the lovely
gardens but the time to socialize a bit. Thanks to both Ivy and Bob
for your hospitality.
