  • "I love gardening.  I love growing from seeds and bulbs and get so excited when they start growing.  I love roses.....their beauty, their fragrance, their long growing seasons.  I love to grow herbs and vegetables, and even citrus, that I use in cooking and baking.  I find it joyful. I joined CCRS because when we moved here 7 years ago and planted roses, I found they had problems I did not encounter in Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles area).  Things like rust, mildew, blackspot. I thought that a few meetings at CCRS would teach me how to grow roses in this new climate.  And 5 years later...I am still learning!"
